I finally caught up with David Cronenberg's new film "Eastern Promises" - without giving too much away it's a really good film.  Both Viggo Mortensen and Naomi Watts are superlative and Cronebreg's direction is sure handed in this complex take of the Russian Mob in London.

So what did you see recently? 

I saw The Simpsons Movie - now I can't keep from humming the Spider-Pig song!  It was really funny. 

Homer is the king of D'oH!

 I saw "Across the Universe" a musical with Beatles songs but not a Beatle in sight.  It was a love story set in the turbulent 60s -- it totally rocked.

I fianlly saw I AM LEGEND with Will Smith and it reminded me a lot of the old 70s flick THE OMEGA MAN with Chuck Heston.   Heston was more of a 1970s bad-ass with his  guns and  living in LA and watching Woodstock by himself while vampires tried to get him. 

It was almost like an Isacc hayes movie except Issac Hayes wasnt in it  -- he was in Shaft.  No that was Truck Turner.

But the Will Smith version had  a really cool dog so it was good too.

Looks like Chuck shot his butt. rofl
